A section of Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" or "Flying Boat" being moved (with a police escort) from the Hughes Aircraft plant in Culver City, California to Terminal Island in the Los Angeles Harbor where the plane was assembled in June of 1946. Photo includes image of a blimp used to take some of the aerial photographs.

The flyers, who circled the globe in 3 days and 19 hours, are in the first three autos. Credit Lines (ACME) 7/30/38 (NY)."
