Part of the collection documents the entire 19 mile length of the north/south Eastern Avenue / Civic Center Drive alignment. This photograph was captured in the section of Civic Center Drive between Cheyenne Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

ME.), a committee member, offered to call off the senate investigation of his (Hughes) war plane contracts, if Hughes agreed to an air line merger. Credit (ACME) 8/7/47."
A section of Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" or "Flying Boat" being moved (with a police escort) from the Hughes Aircraft plant in Culver City, California to Terminal Island in the Los Angeles Harbor where the plane was assembled in June of 1946.
