Materials contain photographs of Hughes Tool Company and Hughes Aircraft Company from 1917 to 1997. The photographs primarily depict factories, laboratories, and tools produced by the Hughes Tool Company. The Hughes Aircraft Company was founded in 1932 as a division of Hughes Tool Company.

The Hugh Henry Brown Papers consist of professional and personal papers (1902-1927) from Hugh Henry Brown, who was a lawyer in Tonopah, Nevada. The professional communication focuses on Brown's law practice dealing primarily with mining and railroad companies in Central Nevada. The papers also contain receipts from purchases made by Brown or his wife, Marjorie Moore Brown.

From the UNLV University Libraries Photographs of the Development of the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada (PH-00394). Part of the collection documents the entire 19 mile length of the north/south Eastern Avenue / Civic Center Drive alignment. This photograph was captured in the section of Civic Center Drive and Eastern Avenue between Lake Mead Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

The Hughes Aircraft Company Weapons System Publications (approximately 1965-2011) contain brochures, booklets, photographs, and illustrations of the AWG-9/Phoenix Air Superiority Weapon Control System developed by Hughes Aircraft Company Aerospace Systems Division based in California. The collection contains photographs of various aircraft, as well as a Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track (SNORT) test at the Naval Ordnance Test Station near China Lake, California.
