Description given with photo: "Hughes Turns Quizmaster, Washington: Howard Hughes (right) submits a list of questions intended for Senator Owen Brewster (R. Me.) to chairman Homer Ferguson (R, Mich.) of the Senate War Investigating Subcommittee. Hughes had said he could prove that Bewster's claims about Hughes' business were "a pack of lies" if he were permitted to cross-examine the senator. The written questions resulted.
