White Pine County's newest town, New Ruth, where most of the houses shown in this picture were moved by Kennecott Copper Corporation, a distance of over two miles to a new location to escape caving action which would have resulted from the Deep Ruth Mine operations. The homes are employee-owned.

Calif. was the first place Mrs. Chloe Lisle lived in Beatty. Her mother ran it. Job Cobb was the owner. In the background are buildings belonging to Charlie Finney who mined in the Grapevine Mts. The building on the right is lived in presently by Mark Henderson of the Exxon station. Judy's Bar replaced the building on the far right."
