Oral history interview with Dee Ellen Grubbs conducted by Susan K. Bakos on October 17, 1985 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Grubbs discusses her early life in California and early interest in nursing. She talks about to Las Vegas, Nevada, teaching courses at the Clark County Community College, and her employment at the Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH). Grubbs describes the decentralized management style at SNMH, the float policy, and nurse shortages in the early 1960s. Lastly, Grubbs talks about the future of the nursing field and changes in public health care.

Oral history interview with Mary Wilson conducted by Patricia Conerly on March 23, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview Wilson discusses her personal experiences in Las Vegas, Nevada as an African-American woman living in Las Vegas in the 1950s and onward.

Oral history interview with Ellis LeFevre conducted by A. D. Hopkins on March 01, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, LeFevre discusses his early life in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as his experiences with bootlegging during Prohibition Era, and his encounters with local law enforcement.

Oral history interview with Rodney Sumpter conducted by Dennis McBride on August 30, 1999 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In this interview, Sumpter discusses his involvement with repealing one of Nevada’s sodomy laws (NRS 201.190) in 1985. He recalls going to the Nevada State Supreme Court and discusses similar cases involving sodomy laws in the United States.

Oral history interview with Lester Adams (b. 1918) conducted by Caroline Fitzpatrick on March 14, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. A native Nevadan, Adams discusses his personal family history, World War II, and the Adams Feed Company of which he is the owner. Adam also discusses the early above ground atomic tests and the local economy.

Oral history interview with Betty Kramer conducted by Kathy Wheat on March 02, 1973 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kramer talks about the development of Henderson, Nevada and shares the significance of the Basic Magnesium Inc. (BMI) to the Las Vegas, Nevada community. Kramer also talks about the societal change in Las Vegas, Nevada when gambling became legal, and the growth of the city at large.
