Oral history interview with Cindy Baca conducted by Barbara Tabach on May 22, 2019 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project.

Cindy Baca, born and raised in Las Vegas, talks about her family and occupation as a librarian at Escobedo Middle School. Cindy's twin daughters were present and injured during the Route 91 Festival and October 1 shooting. She describes their experiences and the Random Acts of Kindness project she piloted at her school after the incident.

Oral history interview with Jim Marsh conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on September 27, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Marsh discusses his early life in Colorado and Nebraska. He remembers moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1971, buying his first car dealership, and sales advertising at the time. Marsh talks about the significance of the car dealership location, and the issues with commercial businesses near residential homes. Marsh describes his car dealership commercials, and why he thinks they have become popular in Southern Nevada. Lastly, Marsh discusses his early interest in buying historical buildings, preserving those buildings, and obtaining his gaming license.

Oral history interview with Ernest O. Crawford conducted by Michael Crawford on October 26, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Ernest discusses Stewart Ranch, Kyle Ranch, Boulder (Hoover) Dam, Fremont Street, and the changes that Southern Nevada had during the construction of the dam.

Oral history interview with Mirna Preciado conducted by Claytee D. White on September 11, 2014 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Preciado discusses migrating from Mexico to Las Vegas, Nevada, being recruited into the Culinary Union Local 226, the Frontier Hotel Strike, and working 15 years as an organizer in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Ricki Barlow conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on July 12, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Barlow discusses his upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada and growing up in the Westside. Barlow talks about his time as Councilman for Ward 5 in the City of Las Vegas, and lists what he accomplished from his campaign promises. He recalls his first projects as councilman, restoring the Westside School, and preserving historic buildings near downtown Las Vegas. Later, Barlow describes the issue of homelessness in Las Vegas, providing social services to people most in need, and improving the mental health system in Nevada. Lastly, Barlow discusses plans to redevelop Jackson Street and the Westside.

In this interview Ron Lawrence discusses his early life, his career, and the gay community in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also discusses gay rights and the AIDs epidemic in the 1980s.

In this interview, Flores reflects upon his 29-year career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1970s to the 2000s. He discusses his experience working in special education and magnet programs, his approach to education, and the process by which he became a principal. He also offers suggestions for effective school administration.
