Selected in 1928 as the airport for the western Air Express on its regular (?) between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. From the tiny Douglas M-2 flown by the original "Four Hasmen" of WAE (Westcliff Airport Express), Jamie (?) James, Fred Kelly I, Al De Garmes (?) and Maruice Graham (?)."
