Oral history interview with Ron M. Portaro conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on July 27, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Portaro speaks about Built-Rite Construction, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993, and meeting notable Las Vegas men such as Pastor Paul Goulet Arnie Adamsen, and Charlie Kajkowski. Oral history interview with Luther Pennington conducted by Greg Decker on February 27, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Pennington discusses working on the trains for the Union Pacific Railroad Company starting in 1927 and explains the various jobs he held on the train. Pennington then describes his position as locomotive engineer and recalls his experiences. Later, he discusses train routes, stations, and the dangers of working aboard a train.

Oral history interview with Charles Weaver conducted by Rod S. Nolan on October 25, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Weaver discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1950s in search of job opportunities. Weaver then discusses the increase of gambling on the Las Vegas Strip. Weaver goes on to describe the development of Henderson, Nevada and recalls the significance of the Basic Magnesium Plant to the growth of Henderson.

In this interview, Trout discusses being a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist nurse in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trout discusses the education required to be a nurse compared to the kind of education and experience she feels a nurse actually needs. She talks about issues of malpractice in the medical field and malpractice insurance, her current work duties, and other aspects of working in the medical field.
