Oral history interview with Roger H. Dudley conducted by Elisabeth McLaren on March 7, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Oral history interview with Richard E. Schroeder conducted by Richard Harrah on February 26, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Schroeder discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1951 to work as a carpenter for the Desert Inn. Schroeder then describes changes in Las Vegas, gambling, and the development of the Las Vegas Strip. Lastly, he discusses the history of some of the hotels and casinos on Fremont Street.

Oral history interview with Harry Wham conducted by Martha Mast on March 07, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Wham discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1954 as an entertainer at the Silver Slipper Casino. Wham then talks about underwater diving and his experiences as a professional diver. Wham later recalls discovering jellyfish and other marine animals at Lake Mead during one of his diving trips. Lastly, Wham discusses the changes that Las Vegas went through, specifically changes in live entertainment around the city.

Oral history interview with Florence Schroeder conducted by DeAnn E. Hunt on March 08, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Schroeder discusses her employment with the Extension Service as a home demonstration agent in Southern Nevada. She also describes her employment as a teacher in Clark County and Lincoln County, and explains her involvement with the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Later, Schroeder discusses the education system and social life in Southern Nevada.

Oral history interview with Aldeane Ries conducted by Jennifer Meskimen on April 21, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Ries reflects upon her nearly 40-year career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District. She discusses the process by which she became an administrator, her approach to school administration, and her regular job responsibilities as principal. She describes changes within the school district over her 40-year career, cultural diversity among students and staff, and the importance of maintaining relationships with parents and students. She also offers suggestions for individuals interested in pursuing school administration.
