Oral history interview with Francis Cortney conducted by Derek Bellow on February 16, 2001 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Cortney reflects upon his roughly 20-year career as a junior high school administrator with the Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1960s to the 1980s. He discusses his upbringing and decision to become a teacher, describes the process by which he became a principal, and discusses challenges that he faced as principal. He expresses his opinion of standardized testing, and reflects upon having the Francis H. Cortney Junior High School named in his honor.

Oral history interview with Tom Hutton conducted by Beatriz Romero on November 25, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Hutton reflects upon his career in education in both Iowa and Nevada. He describes his upbringing, colleges that he attended for teaching programs, and how he first started teaching. He then discusses the process by which he became a school administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) in the late 1980s, his approach to leadership, and his regular duties and responsibilities as principal. He also discusses retirement, and the factors that led to his decision to retire in the 2000s.

Oral history interview with Robert D. Howell conducted by Joe Sant on February 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Howell discusses growing up in Nevada, the early above ground atomic tests, local environmental and social changes, the economic landscape, the Mormon Fort, religious beliefs, local recreation, and air pollution.

Oral history interview with Tyrone Williams conducted by Claytee D. White on August 25, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Williams discusses arriving at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and his various jobs there. He recalls that blacks were not welcome on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip unless they were going to work in one of the hotels or casinos. Williams then describes joining the Executive Housekeepers Association. The interview concludes with a short discourse on social life and positive aspects of life in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Harry Myers conducted by Dan D’Amico on February 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Myers discusses arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1942 to work at the Basic Magnesium Plant. Myers then discusses the increase in gambling and development of casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Myers later describes the social changes throughout Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Peter Gratton conducted by Claytee D. White on February 26, 2009 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. In this interview Peter Gratton recalls graduating from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1981. He then discusses starting a career at the UNLV University libraries and becoming the Administrative Assistant III for the Lied Library Building Department.

Oral history interview with Richard Morgan conducted by Emily Powers on November 07, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Morgan discusses practicing law and being the dean of the law schools at Arizona State University, the University of Wyoming, and the first dean of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
