In this interview, LaVoie discusses being a police officer in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1945 to 1966, as well as life around the city at the time and its expansion. LaVoie also discusses the nearby nuclear testing.

Oral history interview with Bertha Gresh conducted by Gary Eagleson on November 30, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Gresh discusses the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Gresh then talks about mining and offers details surrounding specific mines, such as the Black Hawk Consolidated or Ran [Rand] Mine, the Techatticup Mine, the Wall Street Mine, and the Duncan Mine. Gresh then discusses the early days of Boulder City, Nevada and Henderson, Nevada. She also briefly mentions Block 16.

Oral history interview with Curtis Jones conducted by Lisa Holm on November 18, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Jones reflects on his nearly 30-year career in the Clark County School District as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal from the late 1970s to the early 2000s. He discusses his family upbringing and early inspirations that led him to pursue principalship, and challenges that he faced as a school administrator. He also discusses pressures that teachers and administrators face on a regular basis, and offers suggestions for how to manage job demands.

Oral history interview with Ruby Thomas conducted by Craig Hawkins on October 05, 1973 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Thomas discusses her career as a teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada and being member of the Retired Teachers Association. She then describes social and environmental changes, and the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Lastly, Thomas recalls the population growth and casino development in Las Vegas.

McCall discusses the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip and the changes it went through, along with general changes throughout Las Vegas. McCall also discusses the tension between some races in the community.

Oral history interview with Howard Warner conducted by Virginia Lacouture on July 04, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Warner discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada as a special agent with the intelligence division of the United States Department of the Treasury. Warner then describes the expansion of businesses as the population increased in Las Vegas.
