Oral history interview with Jack Binion conducted by David Schwartz on October 17, 2008 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Binion discusses his early life and growing up as the son of the gaming operator, Benny Binion. He talks about working with Joe Brown at the Horseshoe Casino, the opening of the Golden Nugget, and casino surveillance. Lastly, Binion describes downtown Las Vegas, Nevada during 1960s and its popularity at the time.

Oral history interview with John Luckman conducted by Harvey H. Harris on March 20, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Luckman discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1955 and working as a casino dealer. Luckman also describes his book publishing business.

Oral history interview with Priscilla Alexander conducted by Norman Vallata on 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Alexander was born in Southern California, and in approximately 1952 Alexander relocated to Nevada with her aunt and her uncle who worked in the gambling industry. During the interview Alexander discusses gambling ships in Southern California, early above-ground atomic testing, Nevada’s gambling industry, buffets in the early days on the Las Vegas Strip, and working for Howard Hughes.

Oral history interview with Randy Gangwer conducted by Thomas Hardy on May 17, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Gangwer discusses the importance of gambling, above ground atomic tests, and Southern Nevada’s economic, environmental, and social changes.

Oral history interview with Mabel Rhea conducted by Patricia van Betten on April 09, 2011 for the History of the Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. Rhea discusses her birth in Fairmont, West Virginia, as well as her nursing education. She describes serving in France during World War II as a nurse. She details moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1949, and then to the Blue Diamond, Nevada in approximately 1952. She describes the post office, shopping locations, and her neighbors in the Village.

Oral history interview with Nancy Master conducted by Claytee D. White on July 14, 2006 and for the UNLV @ 50 Oral history Project. In this interview Nancy Master discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1980 and getting a job at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1981. She also discusses teaching library skills, history, and political science at UNLV.

Oral history interview with Helen Smith conducted by Claytee D. White on February 20, 2007 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Smith discusses her personal history and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956. She then talks about her employment at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital and the change to University Medical Center (UMC). Smith recalls an air conditioning business she co-owned with her husband at the time, and the activities she did as a member of Daughters of the Nile, a women's community service organization. Lastly, she discusses education and the general changes in Las Vegas.
