Oral history interview with Roosevelt Toston conducted by Chanelle Pickens on October 19, 2013 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. Toston discusses his career in broadcast journalism in the Las Vegas, Nevada market and then at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Oral history interview with Hazel Shadowen conducted by Patricia van Betten on March 30, 2004 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Shadowen discusses her personal history and moving to Blue Diamond, Nevada in the late 1930s. She describes her husband's employment at the Blue Diamond and Searchlight, Nevada mines and living at a mining village. Shadowen talks about the cost of living at the time, medical services in the mining village, and resources that were provided for the residents.

Oral history interview with Dr. Manuel Madrid conducted by Jose Perez on November 25, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Dr. Madrid reflects upon his experience as principal and superintendent in Arizona. He describes his approach to school administration, and how his philosophy of administration differs from his philosophy of teaching. He also discusses his working relationship with teachers, and compares his experiences as dean, principal, and superintendent.

Oral history interview with Darlene Kelly conducted by David P. Wiser on March 16, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kelly discusses how she first arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada and her occupational history. Kelly goes on to describe the Stewart Ranch, as well as the social environment of the 1940s and 1950s in Southern Nevada.

Oral history interview with Kathryn Domenick conducted by Richard Colanduno on February 29, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Domenick discusses atomic testing, politics, the Pony Express, and the economic slump in Las Vegas, Nevada. Domenick also talks about population changes and the political climate of Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Ed W. May conducted by Claytee D. White on July 22, 2010 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, May discusses golfing in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Valley View Club, an organization for predominately African American golfers, and its significance to the African American community. May describes how the club began and recalls anecdotes from his time as president of the club for nine years.

Oral history interview with Donald Beagle conducted by Michael Clibon in 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. During this oral history interview, Beagle discusses his upbringing in Wyoming, being stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, and working for J.A Tiberti Construction Company. Mr. Beagle’s wife, Mrs. Beagle is also present during the interview, and adds her input on the topic of raising a family in Nevada.
