Oral history interview with Lupe Avelar conducted by Marcela Rodriguez-Campo and Maribel Estrada Calderón for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project.

Lupe Avelar describes her life growing up in Durango, Mexico on a family farm and her immigration to New Mexico as a teen with her brother before returning back to Mexico. Lupe talks about her marriage to Eladio Avelar and how the couple eventually moved to California as well as her circumstances of moving to Las Vegas.

Subjects discussed include: cotton fields; cotton farming.

Oral history interview with Gwen Weeks conducted by Perry Kaufman on November 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Weeks describes early Las Vegas, Nevada and the changes the city went through. Weeks also talks about segregation, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the different living conditions between communities.

Oral history interview with Daniel A. Moore conducted by Norwood Germany Jr. on March 03, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Moore discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1952 for his father's career. Moore discusses his own career at McCarran Airport as well as his interest in bowling. Moore also discusses the African American community in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Lucille Matyas conducted by Michael Bernstein on February 23, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, Matyas discusses moving from Ohio to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1935. Matyas also discusses her work with the Southern Nevada Telephone Company, the Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co., Inc. (REECo) in association with the Nevada Test Site, her life as a housewife, and her work with the Central Telephone (Centel) Corporation.

Oral history interview with David Deering conducted by Gayle Allen on October 29, 1995 for the KDWN Radio Lifelines Oral History Interviews on Nursing. In this interview, Deering talks about his career as a registered nurse in Las Vegas, Nevada. He discusses the human body and how stress and anxiety impact it in different ways. Lastly, Deering explains his perspective on the fight-or-flight response of the human body.

Oral history interview with Edward Baca conducted by Claytee D. White on January 28, 2016 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Baca opens his interview describing his parents and his youth in Wyoming. He then discusses moving to Bryce, Utah in the 1940s, his career in coal mining, and the process of removing coal from the mine. Baca describes his brief time working for the federal government, going to trade school to learn morse code, and working for the railroad. He then talks about switching careers to to work as an air conditioning insulator, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1969. Baca then describes how he found religion, his efforts to learn more about Christianity, and forming a ministry where he preaches. He discusses his Christian radio program, his singing ministry, and his efforts to save a Christian radio station from closing. Lastly, Baca discusses his religious music albums, touring in a religious music group, and faith healing.

Oral history interview with Brian Cram conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on October 28, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Cram discusses his early life as a native Nevadan from Caliente, Nevada. He recalls growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada attending Fifth Street Elementary School and Las Vegas High School. Cram also talks about his career as Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent from 1989 to 2000.
