Oral history interview with Nancy Houssels conducted by Claytee D. White on March 19, 2014 for the West Charleston Neighborhoods--an Oral History Project of Ward 1. Houssels discusses going to school at Berkley University and the University of California Los Angeles, and then migrating to Las Vegas, Nevada. She discusses dancing at the Dunes Hotel and later at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino where she met her husband. She then discusses her part in starting the Nevada Dance Theatre and being a “prime mover” in the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

Oral history interviews with Maude Woo conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 11, 2007 and February 25, 2007 for Reflections: the Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. In these interviews, Woo discusses her early childhood in Korea, taking care of her siblings, and difficult memories of war. Later, she discusses travelling to the United States and having foster parents, and going to college for nursing. She married her first husband and they had two sons, David and John. The family moved to Orange County, California where Maude raised the family and eventually started a private practice. Later, Woo divorced her first husband. She married her current husband, Leland, in 2011. She discusses her family, the importance religion has in her life, and coming to Las Vegas, Nevada to retire. Oral history interview with Zach Mossman conducted by David Schwartz on January 05, 2017 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Mossman discusses being an executive through several Las Vegas, Nevada Strip properties such as the Aria Hotel and Casino, and the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Mossman then explains what drew him to slot operations, what guests want when playing slots, and the importance of time on device.

Oral history interviews with Harold Bradford conducted by Claytee D. White, Camille Morris, Anna Frederick, and Remy Chwae on April 24, 2017 and June 10, 2017 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In the first interview, Bradford discusses his early life in New Orleans, Louisiana. He recalls going through a segregated school system, and his experience with integration. Bradford remembers moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985, his employment for the Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO), and becoming an art director for YESCO. In the second interview, Bradford discusses his initial interest in neon signs, and his work ethic as a visual artist.

Oral history interview with Richard Ronzone conducted by Terrence R. Black on October 20, 1972 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Ronzone discusses his upbringing in Manhattan, Nevada and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1929. He talks about his involvement in local politics, campaigning for Clark County Commissioner, and political changes in Southern Nevada. Ronzone describes recreational activities he participated in, above ground atomic bomb testing, and the increase of tourism to Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Justin Beltram conducted by David G. Schwartz on July 07, 2016 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Beltram describes how he transitioned from a property role to a corporate role and some of his mentors throughout his career. Beltram also discusses his different approaches to local and transient customers, the major changes in general to slot machines since he started in the industry, and his thoughts on the future of slot operations.

Oral history interview with Stanley Paher conducted by Javier Romero on March 04, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Paher describes his personal history in Las Vegas, Nevada and the layout of the city when its population was only eight thousand people. Paher describes the development of bigger casinos in Las Vegas and the evolution of the Strip. Paher also discusses his career as a writer and publisher, writing about the ghost towns of Nevada.
