Oral history interview with Melvin Carter conducted by Claytee D. White on October 12, 2000 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: A Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Carter begins by describing his family history, his father's experience in World War II, and his parents meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Carter describes his family's move to Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1950s. He goes on to describe businesses on the Westside, including the Cove and the Brown Derby. Oral history interview with John G. Tryon conducted by Dr. David Emerson on February 21, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Tryon discusses teaching electrical engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1974. He also discusses introducing a senior engineering design course and being a member of the university’s Academic Standards Committee.

Oral history interview with Helen Smith conducted by Claytee D. White on February 20, 2007 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Smith discusses her personal history and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956. She then talks about her employment at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital and the change to University Medical Center (UMC). Smith recalls an air conditioning business she co-owned with her husband at the time, and the activities she did as a member of Daughters of the Nile, a women's community service organization. Lastly, she discusses education and the general changes in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Rita Deanin Abbey conducted by Claytee White on November 29, 2014 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. The artist and UNLV Emeritus Professor of Art discusses her early education and training in art that led her to work in sculpture, painting, stained glass, and other mediums. She also talks about her pieces created for the Jewish community in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Barbara Conover conducted by Patricia van Betten on November 25, 2006 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Conover discusses moving to Blue Diamond, Nevada after her husband found a job at the mine's processing plant. Conover talks about her career in education and hiking at Red Rock Canyon. Conover also describes life at Spring Mountain Ranch and Bonnie Springs Ranch including the buildings, residents, and local activities.

Oral history interview with Beth Rosenberg conducted by Jerry Masini on November 18, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Rosenberg describes coming to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1942 and the desert landscape she saw when she came here. She gives an in-depth recollection of the first atomic test, and talks about the weather and the seasons in Las Vegas. Rosenberg describes several clubs and hotels around downtown and the recreation at Lake Mead and Mount Charleston.
