On February 23, 1980, Susan Korzennik interviewed construction worker John Erb (born on July 16th, 1932 in Denver, Colorado) in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. This interview covers John’s construction work in the Las Vegas area in addition to family life in Nevada and local social, religious, and community activities. He also discusses being a member of the Elks Club and the Clark County Gentlemen’s Club.

The Elizabeth von Till Warren Papers (1919-2021) series consists of correspondence, meeting agendas, reprints, photographs, financial records, reports, manuscript drafts, photographs, slides, and negatives pertaining to the academic career and professional work of Elizabeth von Till Warren. The series also contains organizational records from von Till Warren’s involvement with the Old Spanish Trail Association (OSTA), Goodsprings Citizens Advisory Council (GCAC), Goodsprings Historical Society (GHS), and Preservation Association of Clark County (PACC). Research files related to Nevada preservation efforts, site exhibits, and trail markers from locations such as Big Springs, the Old Mormon Fort, and Valley of Fire are represented. The series also contains research files from von Till Warren’s dissertation on the Las Vegas Springs, in addition to dissertation drafts.

Interview with Chic Hecht Julie Sefman on April 2, 1976. In this brief interview, Hecht talks about his time in the state senate working to bolster the budget with sales tax and gaming tax, starting a community college and health programs. He also talks about Pop Squires, a newspaper man and advocate for building Hoover Dam, who had a home on the site of Chic Hecht's clothing store on Fremont Street. Hecht also describes his time in the military and his involvement with the Military Intelligence Association.
