Archival Component
On March 1, 1975, collector Judy L. Curtis interviewed fire department captain, Elmore B. Curtis (born December 17th, 1896 in Minnesota) in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. This interview covers life in Southern Nevada since 1942, including Mr. Curtis’s personal history and the early development of the Nevada Test Site. During the interview Mr. Curtis also discusses early tourism and socio-economic progress in Southern Nevada.

The building surveys series (1930-2001) contains historic building surveys created by students from multiple semesters of Ralph Roske's History 117 course. Locations include private homes, businesses, and government-owned sites. The materials compiled include histories provided by interviews with informants, building material types, blueprints, photographs, and fliers or pamphlets related to the sites.
Archival Component
Oral history interview with Cheryl Leonard conducted by Claytee D. White on February 12, 2013 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Leonard discusses her life growing up in 1950s and 1960s, including school activities at Rancho High School and attending college in California. She then discusses working as a telephone operator for Central Telephone Company, and as a clerk at the Nevada Test Site before marrying and quitting to concentrate on raising her daughters.
