Robinson attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Robinson was employed as a tunnel mechanic and welded for the Nevada Test Site.

After graduation Jacquelynn began work for defense contractors who worked at the Nevada Test Site and National Laboratories. Jacquelynn also worked for the defense contractor EG and G Incorporated. Jacquelynn Smith passed away on November 7, 2015.
