Abstract

The Sister Klaryta Antoszewska Photograph Collection (1977-1991) consists of photographic slides that depict various Nevada, United States, and international nuclear test protests. The collection includes images of Sister Klaryta Antoszewska and Sister Rosemary Lynch, as well as images of the Lenten Desert Experience and numerous protests at the Nevada Test Site. Also included are images of nuclear testing, soldiers, and anti-nuclear testing promotional materials.

In this interview, Sparrow discusses his personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sparrow discusses life in early Las Vegas, how Las Vegas has changed, and the development of the Strip. Sparrow also discusses race relations in Las Vegas and the establishment of the Nevada Test Site.

June worked as a maid and then found a position with Centel Telephone and was on the Board of the Clark County Community College. Lewis worked at Test Site as a cook and later for the Clark County Fire Department.
