Oral history interviews with Ida Pinckney conducted by Claytee D. White on August 23, 2012 and November 05, 2012 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Pinckney discusses her personal history and life in Las Vegas, Nevada after moving there with her family as a child in 1942. She begins by talking about her family and living in a tent house in the Westside community of Las Vegas. Pinckney describes how she feels Westside development has been stunted by an overabundance of churches in the area not paying taxes, life in the Westside during the 1940s, and her experiences as an African American woman in Las Vegas. Other topics of discussion include Pinckney being a member of Culinary Workers Union Local 226, her father and brother working at the Nevada Test Site, and various aspects of Las Vegas history. Willie Jean Beatty also participates in the interview, helping Pinckney expand on topics such as the presence of organized crime in casinos and her involvement in the Sisters Network: An Afro-American Breast Cancer Survivors Organization.

Oral history interview with Saul Wixson conducted by Ralph Goudy on March 07, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Wixson discusses the construction of Boulder (Hoover) Dam and the work of Frank Crowe, chief engineer of Boulder (Hoover). Wixson also discusses the process and work required to construct the dam and his opinion of the dam as it was being completed.

Oral history interview with Evel Knievel conducted by David G. Schwartz on May 17, 2007 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. In this interview, Knievel discusses his personal relationship with Jay Sarno. He talks about Sarno’s career in gaming and the business ventures that he was involved with in Las Vegas, Nevada. Knievel recalls anecdotes of their friendship, and the opening of Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, and Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. Lastly, he recalls stories of gambling with Sarno at his casinos.

Oral history interview with Tia Stone conducted by Claytee D. White on September 25, 2020 for African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project.

Tia Stone was the organizer of several Las Vegas protests, including marches for justice after the murder of George Floyd and for the Black Lives Matter movement. She discusses how she planned these rallies, the makeup of the attendees, and her thoughts on what local and national police reform should look like.

Oral history interview with Leslie Mujica conducted by Barbrara Tabach on June 2, 2020 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project and The Great Pause: Las Vegas Chronicles of the Covid-19 Pandemic. In this interview, Mujica talks about her childhood growing up in Guatemala and immigrating to Southern California with her family in 1980. She discusses her move to Las Vegas in 2005 and her employment history both in nonprofit work and in construction, which led to the pursuit of her current position as the Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Las Vegas Power Professionals. Leslie also shares her educational history with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. It is where she obtained her Master's Degree in Public Administration and where Leslie currently serves as a board member of the Latinx Voices Project and the Alumni Legacy Board. Oral history interview with Norman Christiansen conducted by James Courtney on November 28, 1986 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Christiansen describes his family, and background before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956 from Montana. Christiansen then talks about working at the Nevada Test Site and about his career as a teacher. He speaks about the various changes he has noticed over the years in Las Vegas, including those in climate, pollution, economy, occupation, and standard of living.
