Oral history interview with Mike Meade conducted by Steve Gortz on February 28, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Meade speaks about growing up in Tonopah, Nevada before its decline in population, his move to Elko, Nevada and eventually to the city of Las Vegas. Moreover, he talks about the development of the Strip, the differences between Las Vegas and rural Nevada, as well as the changing environmental landscape. Meade also spends time discussing the controversy surrounding the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) dormitory at the time of this interview, the attitude of locals, and his opinion on brothels and prostitution. Lastly, Meade talks about the city’s pollution, the sports and recreation throughout the whole of the state and ends by reading a poem about Nevada from a Bicentennial book.

Oral history interview with Selma Bartlett conducted by Claytee D. White on September 18, 2008 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Bartlett discusses arriving to Henderson, Nevada in 1954 and recalls the homes in that area. She shares her experience in banking and her employment with First National Bank of Nevada. Lastly, Bartlett discusses the housing crisis of 1987 and describes the housing industry during that time.

Oral history interview with Alice Brumage conducted by Claytee D. White on January 30, 2019 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Brumage discusses her upbringing in Boulder City, Nevada and the construction of the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). She remembers her father’s involvement in the construction of the Dam, her parent’s membership in the Boulder City Rifle and Pistol Club, and the growth of Boulder City.

Oral history interview with Clarence Ray conducted by Eleanor L. Walker in 1991 for the African American in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Ray provides details of his ancestry and upbringing, his education, and race relations in the western United States before 1930. He then moves on to his first visit to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1922, and his movements before settling permanently in the 1940s. He explains that the main source of employment for the relatively small Black population during the 1920s and early 1930s was the railroad, but a number were also in business. Mr. Ray provides thumbnail sketches of many of the early residents, and is particularly informative about "Mammy" Pinkston, Mary Nettles, the Stevens family, and the Ensley family. Systemic racial discrimination against Blacks developed in southern Nevada during the 1930s, and Mr. Ray provides some useful details on this along with his discussion of his career in gaming and his social and political activities.

Oral history interview with Billy Christ conducted by Lisa Gioia-Acres on October 09, 2007 for the All That Jazz Oral History Project. Christ, who plays bass, discusses his career in New York City, New York and Las Vegas, Nevada as a jazz musician. Christ also talks about his childhood and growing up in Detroit, Michigan and New York City, New York.

Oral history interview with Robert Skaggs conducted by Dr. David Emerson on May 06, 2006 for the UNLV @ Fifty Oral History Project. Skaggs discusses teaching engineering at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, starting in 1969. He also discusses being involved in getting accreditation with Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Inc. for the engineering college, establishing a chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, and building an engineering master's and a PhD program.
