Oral history interview with Howard Booth conducted by Jeff van Ee on April 13, 2009 for the UNLV Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Booth discusses environmental changes in Las Vegas, Nevada and addresses his concerns on the lack of environmental protection in southern Nevada. Booth describes the role politics has in environmental policies, his involvement in the establishment of federally protected areas, and his advocacy for public land uses.

Oral history interview with Joe Pavlikowski conducted by Jay Brewer in 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Pavlikowski discusses his career in politics and as a district judge after his move to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1950s. Pavikowski describes his time at Nellis Air Force Base while he served in the U.S. Air Force. Finally, he talks about changes throughout Las Vegas, specifically economic, environmental, and legal changes regarding gambling.

Oral history interview with Robert M. Fisher conducted by DeeAnn Coombs on March 20, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Fisher first discusses his background and upbringing, from being born at Nellis Air Force Base to attending several schools in Las Vegas, Nevada, and joining the U.S. Navy. Fisher also talks about the development of Las Vegas, particularly Las Vegas Strip properties, and the various recreational activities in which he would participate, such as water skiing, drag racing, and skydiving. Fisher also talks about his work at the Nevada Test Site, including his work as a draftsman for underground atomic testing.

Oral history interview with Dale Kimball conducted by Dennis McBride on May 16, 1999 and January 1, 2001 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In this interview, Kimball discusses their personal impressions of and historical information about the people who donated to the Nevada Coalition for the Protection of Marriage, an organization which opposed same sex marriage. The interview consists entirely of Kimball reading through a list of donors to the Coalition and providing personal anecdotes on each individual.

Oral history interview with Ed Walters conducted by David Schwartz on April 20, 2015 for the Table Games Management Oral History Project. In this interview, Walters discusses his career working in various Las Vegas, Nevada casinos, primarily the Sands Hotel and Casino. He begins with discussing his time as a teenage pool player and card hustler in New York City before his move to Las Vegas in 1959. Walters held positions working the casino floor, as a pit boss, and as a casino manager.

Oral history interview with Mike Meade conducted by Steve Gortz on February 28, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Meade speaks about growing up in Tonopah, Nevada before its decline in population, his move to Elko, Nevada and eventually to the city of Las Vegas. Moreover, he talks about the development of the Strip, the differences between Las Vegas and rural Nevada, as well as the changing environmental landscape. Meade also spends time discussing the controversy surrounding the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) dormitory at the time of this interview, the attitude of locals, and his opinion on brothels and prostitution. Lastly, Meade talks about the city’s pollution, the sports and recreation throughout the whole of the state and ends by reading a poem about Nevada from a Bicentennial book.

Oral history interview with Phyllis M. Silvestri conducted by Claytee D. White on January 11, 2010 for the Voices of the Historic John S. Park neighborhood Oral History Project. In this interview Phyllis Silvestri discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, specifically to the historic John S. Park neighborhood. She talks about interesting features of her home like a bomb-shelter. She then discusses how her children were discriminated against in the neighborhood when going outside to play because they are Italian.
