Oral history interview with Jan Van Tuyl conducted by D.R. Brainard on March 21, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Oral history interview with Lucile Spire Bruner conducted by Alice Cowles Brown on March 03, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Spire Bruner discusses her husband Elmo Bruner's career as an architect and appraiser in Las Vegas, Nevada from, 1947 to 1973, World War II, her religious affiliation with the Unitarian Fellowship Church, and her involvement with organizations such as American Institute of Architects, engineering societies and architectural registration and examination boards.
Oral history interview with Geneva Stark Merwin conducted by Elizabeth Nelson Patrick on August 24, 1983 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Merwin discusses her career and experiences as a teacher in Pahrump, Nevada after moving there in 1941. Merwin also discusses some of the people in the town and its layout. Merwin goes on to describe her teaching career in Las Vegas, Nevada after being recommended to the school board by Maude Frazier.
Oral history interview with T.J. Moran conducted by Georgina Pataki on March 20, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Moran discusses his career as a captain in the Las Vegas Fire Department and working part time as a construction worker building houses. Moran describes the changes that have occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada since moving there in 1954 and nuclear weapons tests. Moran also comments on an ongoing casino workers strike at the time of the interview.
Oral history interview with Billie Mae Polson conducted by Eva Diane Head on March 08, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Polson discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1947. She also describes her employment at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) James R. Dickinson Library (now Lied Library) and recalls the construction of the Library's upper floors. Later, Polson discusses the Library's switch to an automated circulation system.

In the interview, La Porta discusses his birth at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada and his office, the La Porta Insurance Agency in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about his early memories of Henderson, gambling, celebrities in Las Vegas, and his religious preferences.
