Francis discusses being a Licensed Practical Nurse at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital and working for Dr. Fink. She discusses teaching nursing there and at the Sunrise Hospital, as well as working for Workmen's Compensation.

Oral history interview with Faye Rhea Porter conducted by Barbara Tabach on June 13, 2012 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Porter discusses her father's employment at the Nevada Test Site. Porter talks about her father being unable to describe the type of work he did with family or friends and tells anecdotes about the secrecy of the test site. She then recalls her sister and her employment at the Nevada Test Site until an accident on the way to the site resulted in her death.

This interview covers the history of Southern Nevada. Huffman also offers an in-depth description of early life in Bunkerville, Nevada. Huffman lastly discusses being a Justice of the Peace.

Oral history interview with Jerry Waldrop conducted by Harry Ward on February 23, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Waldrop discusses arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1944 as an instructor for the Las Vegas Army Air Corps Gunnery School (now Nellis Air Force Base). Waldrop also describes the increase of hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, social life, and environmental changes in the city.
