Oral history interview with Jeff McColl Sr. conducted by Dennis L. Weigang on March 09, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, McColl discusses his early life moving back and forth between California, Nevada, and Texas before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1925. McColl also discusses his work as a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad Company, life in Las Vegas during the late 1920s and 1930s, and industrial and urban growth in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Arsya Respati conducted by Madison Chang on December 4, 2021 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) student Arsya Respati shares his childhood and upbringing in Jakarta, Indonesia and educational background. He discusses his studies at the international BINUS SCHOOL Simprug in Jakarta and his immigration to the United States with his younger brother to pursue the culinary arts at the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at UNLV. Arsya Respati talks about his relationship with his parents and their daily communication, his "aunty" who has helped him adjust to American culture and homesickness, his Muslim faith and traditions, and his employment. He also shares his views on Indonesian politics and cultural diversity, and the diversity of Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Gary Sternberg conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 12, 2015, April 07 2015, and October 20, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. In this interview, Gary Sternberg discusses how his family came to live in the United States. He also discusses his wife Noreen in 1957, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, his repair business, and his importing business with his wife. Sternberg also discusses his entrepreneurial nature and his ownership of three patents.

Oral history interview with Marisa Rodriguez conducted by Maribel Estrada Calderón, Monserrath Hernández and Claytee D. White for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Marisa Rodriguez discusses her childhood and living in North Las Vegas as a teenager; she was born in Chicago, Illinois, moved to Mexico with her family at a young age, and returned to the United States at age 12. She recounts what it was like acclimating to American life, learning English, and studying abroad in Spain before becoming a law student. Marisa attended the William S. Boyd School of Law and is currently a civil litigator in Las Vegas. Subjects discussed include: La Voz Hispanic/Latino Law Students Association at the William S. Boyd School of Law; Huellas mentorship program.

Oral history interview with Robert Bruce Smith conducted by Dr. David Emerson on June 13, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Smith discusses teaching chemistry at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, being chair of the Department of Physical Sciences, and the dean of the College of Science and Mathematics. He also discusses serving as Academic Vice President and later Provost at Weber State College in Ogden, Utah, from 1980 until his retirement in 1998.

Oral history interview with Dixie and Neil Brundy conducted by Claytee D. White on July 01, 2014 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. The Brundys describe life in rural Nevada and in Las Vegas, Nevada pre- and post- World War II: working on the railroads, barrel-racing, and rodeos. They also talk about their family’s involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They recall the glamour of Las Vegas casinos when they were owned and operated by the mob and the country music stars who performed downtown.

Park neighborhood. Rodgers shares her story of arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of a retail job with The Broadway stores in 1966. Rodgers speaks about her involvement with the Focus Youth House, First Fridays and art, and gives a perspective of police, criminal behaviors, and changes in the neighborhood over the years.

He also discusses his involvement with Jewish organizations in various capacities, and his involvement with high-profile cases such as the MGM Grand and Las Vegas Hilton fires, earning him the nickname "master of disaster."

Oral history interview with Dr. David Emerson conducted by Claytee D. White on December 21, 2005 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. In this interview Emerson discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1981 and teaching chemistry classes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He talks about building up the engineering department at UNLV through distance education for students who needed credits in math, computer skills, or electrical engineering. He then talks about promoting the idea of a strong engineering school at UNLV, and then working to gain accreditation for civil, mechanical, electrical, and other areas of engineering.
