Oral history interview with Jesse Scott conducted by Claytee D. White on June 29, 2009 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Scott describes growing up in Louisiana and his initial involvement with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as vice president of the youth council. He recalls positions he held beginning in the 1970s with the Las Vegas NAACP branch as an executive director, executive director of the Equal Rights Commission, and later, president of the Las Vegas NAACP.

Oral history interview with Arturo F. Ochoa conducted by Kenneth L. Morrow on October 29, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Ochoa reflects upon his career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD). He discusses his educational background that led to his becoming a bilingual education teacher, and describes the process by which he eventually became a principal. He discusses his approach to education, programs that he created, and his approach to working relationships with teachers and other administrators.

Oral history interview with Frances Moore conducted by Len Trout on March 01, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Moore begins by discussing her family's history in Nevada and the people she met in Las Vegas, Nevada. She talks about visits by prominent politicians to Las Vegas, the crash of Carole Lombard's plane, and life in Las Vegas during the 1930s and 1940s. Moore also describes how Las Vegas has changed, nuclear weapons tests, and the Stewart Ranch.

Oral history interview with Nanyu Tomiyasu conducted by Samanthia Kerwin on March 11, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Tomiyasu discusses his family life, being raised on a farm, and enlisting in the United States Army some time between 1940 and 1944. Tomiyasu talks about growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada and witnessing changes in the city including hotel and casino construction and change in ownership. Tomiyasu describes transportation in Nevada and people moving to Las Vegas for job opportunities.

Oral history interview with Anne M. Barnes conducted by Blythe Everett on November 23, 2009 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Barnes reflects upon her nearly 30-year career as a teacher and administrator with the Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1970s to the 2000s. She discusses her thirteen years as principal of various elementary and middle schools, and describes her experiences working with magnet programs. She also describes the importance of working relationships between principals and parents, teachers, and students.
