Oral history interview with Jeanne Brown conducted by Claytee D. White on November 07, 2017 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Brown discusses her upbringing and growing up in a family who moved often. She talks about her initial interest in library science, and compares working as a university librarian to working as a public librarian. Brown remembers arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978, joining the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Architecture Library, and the construction of the UNLV School of Architecture building. Lastly, Brown discusses the future of UNLV Libraries.

Oral history interview with Tom Maveal conducted by Cheryl Peters on April 13, 2004 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Maveal reflects upon his nearly 30-year career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District from the 1970s to the 2000s. He discusses his experiences working as an administrator with Title I, and compares this with his experience as a principal. He describes his regular job responsibilities and challenges, and discusses bilingual education programs.

Oral history interview with Harriet Trudell conducted by Claytee D. White on April 19, 2007 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Project. Trudell begins by describing her early history and the powerful influence of her father on her life, beliefs, and politics. She continues talking about politicians that she admires from Hubert Humphrey to Harry Reid, and her desire to work to improve the lives of the marginalized. She relates early education to make her a "southern lady" and her rejection of the concept, as well as her later education in Florida and beginning to lobby for the labor unions. She discusses her marriage and move to Las Vegas, Nevada, her career working for the presidential campaign of Vice President Hubert Humphrey in 1968, and the campaign for Senator George McGovern in 1972. Trudell describes Nevada as a conservative state, and explains what she means saying Nevada was the "Mississippi of the West." Trudell also discusses working for Nevada Governor Mike O'Callaghan, the Democratic Party, her ancestors who fought in the American Civil War, and prominent moments in United States political history. Trudell concludes by describing her involvement in the women's movement and why she felt it was important.

Oral history interview with Carl F. Kelley conducted by James M. Greene on May 02, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kelley discusses moving to Nevada and describes living in Boulder City, Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada and Henderson, Nevada. The interview concludes with an in-depth discussion of the Civilian Conservation Corps activities in Boulder City.

In these interviews, Boyd discusses his family's move to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was a child, his education and fifteen-year career as a lawyer, his introduction to the gaming industry in Las Vegas, and the evolution of the Boyd Gaming Group.

Oral history interview with Keena Smith conducted by Winita Frederick on November 25, 2014 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Smith discusses her personal history and growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She describes what Las Vegas was like as a child, her upbringing in dance, and the significance that participating in the arts has on her life. Smith describes the auditioning process for shows in Las Vegas, her experience as an African American dancer, and being a cast member for The Lion King. Lastly, Smith talks about teaching dance courses at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
