Oral history interview with Herbert Jones conducted by Janice Sorensen on April 03, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Jones discusses prostitution, his experience working on Boulder (Hoover) Dam, the lack of safety precautions, and the working conditions. Oral history interview with Margaret Crabbe, conducted by Patricia van Betten on January 14 and January 19, 2004 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Margaret Crabbe discusses her upbringing in California, her education as a schoolteacher and her move to Blue Diamond, Nevada in 1949. She briefly talks about her husband, Lester, and his work as facilities manager for both the Blue Diamond Mine and Blue Diamond Village. She then discusses her work as a teacher in Blue Diamond and the school children's participation in the dedication of the Blue Diamond Post Office in the 1950s. She also comments on problems with spring flooding in the town and surrounding areas and some of the wild animals that would come into the town. Finally, she talks about her grandfather John W. Bain, who established the first Methodist church in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Allen Sanders conducted by Julius Jones on July 06, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sanders discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1943 in search of job opportunities. Sanders then recalls life in Las Vegas during World War II and describes the population increase after the war. Later, Sanders describes changes in the economy, society, and environment of Las Vegas, specifically the increase of hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip.

Oral history interview with Sonny Reizner conducted by Jack Painter on an unknown date between 1970 and 1985 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Reizner discusses his time working at the sports book for Castaways Hotel and Casino Bowling in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reizner goes into detail about writing and managing the sports books. Later, Reizner talks about sports betting, the process, and its growth. Finally, Reizner describes the culture of sports betting and the logistics of how to succeed in the field.

Oral history interview with Esther Marber conducted by Jane E. Olive on July 16, 1999 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Marber discusses her life in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1947. She remembers her employment at the Bonanza Casino, the Riviera Hotel and Casino, and the development of labor unions in Las Vegas.

Lionel moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in May 1954 to divorce her husband and marry her attorney. She discusses her local neighborhood, the social clubs she was associated with, and the cost of living in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Charles Silvestri conducted by Claytee D. White on December 31, 2012 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Silvestri begins by discussing his family history and his personal history in the United States Army during the 1950s. He describes moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1957 after leaving the army, working as a casino dealer at The Mint Hotel and Casino and California Club while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, called Nevada Southern University at the time. Silvestri then describes attending the University of Nevada, Reno to finish his degree and moving back to Las Vegas to begin his career as a teacher. Lastly, he talks about life in Las Vegas, entertainment in the city, race relations in Las Vegas during the 1960s, and the middle school that was named in his honor.
