Oral history interview with Amee B. Cauton conducted by Stefani Evans on January 23, 2024 for the Reflections: the Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. In this interview, Cauton reflects on her childhood growing up in Honolulu, Hawai'i, and later relocating with her mother and step-father to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999. She recalls starting work at The Mirage with her morther, where she worked for a total of 15 years in a variety of hospitality positions. Cauton is now a Negotiating Committee Captain for Culinary Union Local 226, has a total of eighteen years seniority with MGM Resorts. She also talks about her work with the Culinary Union and the 2023 contract campaign and strike vote.

Oral history interview with Donna Robinson conducted by Barbara Tabach on December 20, 2019 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. Robinson begins by talking about her family and childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She talks about her family life and how she started working at the American Red Cross as a Disaster Program Specialist. Robinson describes her first disaster situation she worked through, later disaster situations, and the different training that is required in order to handle certain situations. Robinson then begins to talk about October 1, 2017, and how she tried to help as many people as possible that night. Then she talks about the long-term effects of the shooting and how it impacted the survivors and the community. She discusses the mental health aspect of the services Red Cross had and how it still continues to serve the community today.

Oral history interview with Lucille Bryant conducted by Claytee White on December 13, 1995 and March 01, 1996 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Bryant begins the interview discussing her early life in Tallulah, Louisiana. Next Bryant discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to look for work in 1953. Bryant discusses at length life in Tallulah from work to race relations. Bryant goes on to discuss her husband and children and to describe their family life. Bryant lastly discusses her experiences as an African American woman employed as a housekeeper on the Strip and her involvement in the Culinary Union local 226.

Oral history interview with Hildred Meidell conducted by Greg Abbott on February 27, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Meidell covers a range of topics about living in Las Vegas, Nevada, from her and her husband’s time as tourists in the city and their subsequent retirement to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, California. Meidell describes the Las Vegas Strip, the interstate and highway conditions between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as their numerous visits to Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Moreover, she speaks about the changing layout of the city, the increase in shopping centers and department stores, and the clothing stores inside of hotels. Lastly, Meidell talks about the prominence of churches in local communities, the atomic testing program and the structural damages these tests caused in her neighborhood, and the influence of the railroad and passenger train on the town.

Oral history interview with George Durkin conducted by Claytee D. White on July 26, 2024 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Durkin describes his childhood in Schenectady, New York, where he first became interested in music. After college, Durkin enrolled in a master's program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and worked at Strip locations behind some of the great entertainers in the industry. While at UNLV, he studied with composer, arranger, and musician Don Hannah, and became a life-long friend of his son, Paul Hannah. Durkin explains that while he currently works in real estate, he still plays in shows when possible and is a regular percussionist for the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Over the years, Durkin played for many entertainers in Las Vegas, including Robert Goulet, Dorothy Hamill, Julio Iglesias, Dionne Warwick, Liberace, Joan Rivers, Sammy Davis, George Burns, and many more. Oral history interview with Diane C. Kneeland conducted by Claytee D. White on May 19, 2010 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Kneeland discusses the history of Las Vegas, Nevada and how the city has developed. Kneeland discusses her husband, William Coulthard, a former state assemblyman; the casinos she would visit on the Las Vegas Strip; and volunteering in the Junior League. Lastly, she describes life in Las Vegas during the 1950s, the entertainment available in Las Vegas, and nuclear weapons tests.

Oral history interview with Beverly Minnear conducted by Regina Goings on April 15, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Minnear reflects upon her more than 30-year career with the Clark County School District (CCSD) as a speech therapist and school administrator from 1970 to the time of the interview in 2003. She describes the process by which she began working in special education, and eventually became principal at John F. Miller and Variety Elementary School. She discusses the responsibilities that she faced as principal, and how her school operations compared to different schools within CCSD. She discusses the importance of working relationships between teachers, administrators and parents, and how such relationships impacted the learning environment.
