Oral history interview with Joan Johnson conducted by Kim Geary on March 25, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Johnson discusses her personal history and her reasons for originally moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Oral history interview with Carolyn Hutcheson conducted by Barbara Tabach on May 2, 2022 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Hutcheson, a native of Houston, Texas, discusses relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband Floyd in 1989. At the time, she worked for Quality Mechanical and later for the Perini Building Company when the Cosmopolitan was under construction. Oral history interview with Tom Warden conducted by Claytee D. White on September 29, 2015 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project.. In this interview, Warden discusses his early life in Allen Park, Michigan. He talks about the history of the Summerlin residential community in Clark County, Nevada, the construction of Summerlin Parkway, and the development of infrastructure in that area. Warden describes the planning that goes into creating communities, and describes what the “Summerlin lifestyle” means. Later, Warden talks about the development of Downtown Summerlin, the schools in Summerlin, and serving on the School Community Partnership Council. Lastly, Warden discusses future goals of the Howard Hughes Corporation.

Oral history interview with Louis Fisher conducted by Samuel Barto on March 20, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Fisher discusses the history of Las Vegas, Nevada from 1953 and offers insight into the rapid growth of Las Vegas with special focus on the Las Vegas Strip, banks, the steady influx of people moving to Las Vegas for the warm climate, and housing.

Oral history interview with John G. Tryon conducted by Dr. David Emerson on February 21, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Tryon discusses teaching electrical engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1974. He also discusses introducing a senior engineering design course and being a member of the university’s Academic Standards Committee.
