Oral history interview with JoAnne K. Schlekewy conducted by Wanda Renfrow on November 26, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Schlekewy reflects upon her nearly 30-year career as an administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District from the 1970s to the 2000s. She describes the process by which she became a counselor and eventually principal, describes her regular responsibilities, and discusses the importance of establishing working relationships with teachers.

Oral history interview with Alan Greenberg conducted by David G. Schwartz on February 08, 2007 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. In this interview, Greenburg discusses his personal experiences with Jay Sarno. He describes attending school with Sarno at the University of Missouri and Sarno’s plan to open up casinos and hotels. Lastly, Greenburg talks about Sarno’s career in gaming, the opening of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, and recalls anecdotes of their friendship together.

Oral history interview with Frank Martin conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on September 13, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Martin discusses his early life in Montana and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1961. He recalls his initial interests in carpentry, his employment at the Nevada Test Site, and co-founding his business, Martin-Harris Construction. Martin describes building custom homes, cooperating with architectural firms on a project, and the relationship built between building owners and the construction company. Later, Martin discusses the innovation of technology and its use on the construction site. Lastly, Martin talks about the differences in working for corporations and private owners.

Oral history interview with James Deacon conducted by Elizabeth Warren on August 28, 2008 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Deacon discusses his ichthyological and environmental research around the geological formation of Devils Hole in Nevada, where he studied the Devils Hole pupfish. Deacon also describes other species of fish he studied in several different bodies of water in Nevada and his experiences over the course of those studies. He talks about how they measured population size of different fish, how species interacted with each other and responded to environmental changes, and performing ichthyological research for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Estes McDoniel conducted by Gregory S. Hayes on March 11, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. McDoniel discusses his personal history in Henderson, Nevada, including his campaign for Mayor. McDoniel then discusses the first high school in Henderson, Nevada, and the Basic Magnesium Plant.

Oral history interview with Elizabeth Garrison conducted by Walter John Ritzau on February 25, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Garrison first talks about her schooling in Las Vegas, Nevada, the atomic testing, the Devils Hole in Ash Meadows, early church involvement, and some of the environmental aspects of Las Vegas. Garrison later describes her work for the Central Telephone Company and the Helldorado Parade.

Oral history interview with Betty Saunders conducted by an unnamed interviewer on an unknown date in approximately 1995 to 2005 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Saunders discusses her career in the U.S. Air Force. She describes the environment and culture including living quarters, training, and promotions. Saunders talks about her experience as an African American woman in the military including how marriage and pregnancy affected her.
