Oral history interview with Clara L. Porter conducted by Mary Katuin on April 24, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Porter discusses her childhood in Las Vegas, Nevada and her time in the Las Vegas school system. Porter discusses her experience running for the Henderson, Nevada city council and expresses her opinion about the political system in Nevada and that voters should have more awareness of the candidates for whom they choose to vote. Porter also describes entertainment in Las Vegas, how Las Vegas has changed since the 1950s, and more of her personal history.

In this interview, Mead discusses her career as a waitress at the Hacienda Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she had worked for twenty-one years at the time of the interview. Oral history interview with Hugh McAllister conducted by A. D. Hopkins on January 15, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, McAllister discusses his early life working as a miner in Colorado and Nevada, his time in Lathrop Wells, Nevada, and his eventual move to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1936. McAllister also discusses his work as a bread truck driver, highway construction worker, and a machine shop worker for Basic Magnesium, Inc.

Oral history interview with Junior Craig conducted by Donald E. Bodkin on February 15, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Craig discusses bringing trucks in from Los Angeles, California to work on the building of the Davis Dam. Craig recalls being an active member of the member of the civil defense in Clark County, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Rick Tilman conducted by Nicholas Christie on February 28, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Tilman discusses his personal history and his educational background. Tilman then describes changes in Las Vegas, Nevada and how gambling helped the Las Vegas economy grow. He later recalls atomic bomb testing, local politics, and the rise of crime throughout Las Vegas.
