Sign-specific description: Double sided architectural sign perched on top of the building of the El Cortez reads El Cortez HOTEL COFFEE SHOP & BAR FREE PARKING with a metal frame work to hold it high for tourists to see down Fremont Street on either side of the road or sidewalk. in the Day it looks white and baby blue with the frame work painted white. At night El Cortez glows red whit what looks like white skeleton neon outlining the wording, HOTEL is outlined with pink skeleton neon, and COFFEE SHOP & BAR FREE PARKING is made of the same pink neon as the HOTEL portion.

Sign details: Original construction year of the building was 1949. Previous to this property being Evel pie it house the short lived F. Pigalle fondue restaurant, and the Radio City Pizza. This 1979 Evel Knievel themed pizza restaurant and bar opened in late 2016. Their motto is Live Hard, Ride Fast, Eat Pizza. In the restaurant there is an Evel Knievel Pinball machine and a Stunt Cycle Game.

Sign-specific description: Above the entrance there are red channeled cursive letters Evel Pie filled with neon tubes that illuminate red at night. To the left and right of the letters there are little white wings that are plastic but are illuminated with neon tubes I behind it.

Sign condition: 3- The sign has a lot of damage on the road side of the sign.
Sign form: Pylon that has characteristics of a blade
Sign-specific description: This roadside pylon has a long yellow thin round base that the sign hangs off of like a blade. It has 4 pieces of steel that connect it to the red portion of the sign. The main portion of the sign is all outlined in a red steel rectangle that contain incandescent light bulbs. Then from the top down there are 8 plastic rectangles that are back lit by reader boards that each say something different but all in the same font. The first one is a silhouette of a car followed by "Cars", " Direct", another silhouette of a car, "Great", "Deals", their phone number , then their address. Below the plastic back lit signs is a round steel sign with white painted letters stating, "Cash for Cars" in neon. This circle has a white border in incandescent light bulbs as well.

Description
Gordon Smith was born in Utah, but moved with his family to Babbitt, Nevada in 1947. His father, a barber, moved the family to Las Vegas in 1955. In this interview, Gordon recalls school and after-school pursuits; changes in the town; summer jobs; and college. He also talks about his military service and returning to Las Vegas to take up the razor himself - starting a successful barbering business of over 30 years.

Description
From the Dennis McBride Photograph Collection (PH-00263) -- LGBTQ+ events and organizations in Las Vegas, Nevada -- Digital images file. Notes from the donor, Dennis McBride: Krave nightclub opened on November 13, 2004 inside the Desert Passage shopping area of the Aladdin Hotel and Casino, and remained at this location after Desert Passage became the Miracle Mile Shops. In July 2012 Krave announced its move from the Miracle Mile Shops to the empty motion picture theater in the Neonopolis shopping mall downtown on Fremont Street and a name change to Krave Massive. The nightclub held its grand opening in Neonopolis on June 16, 2013, only to close within two months. Krave moved a third time into the former Club Utopia at 3765 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
