The materials in the Demonstrations series contain photographic prints and negatives of various strikes, pickets, rallies, and marches that the members of the Las Vegas Culinary Workers Union Local 226 participated in from 1987 to 2004. Most prominently represented in this series is the Frontier Strike that lasted from 1991 to 1998. Materials contain photographic prints, photographic negatives, and a small number of slides.

The Internal: Work activities series contains Culinary Workers Union Local 226 photographs that document the internal work events from the 1970s to the 2000s, with a bulk of the material from the 1990s until the early 2000s. These events include Culinary Union officer elections, committee meetings, Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees (H.E.R.E.) conventions, Shop Stewards conventions and graduations, and photographs of various casinos. Materials contain photographic prints, photographic negatives, and a small number of slides. Each file contains multiple images.

The Internal: Social events series contains Culinary Workers Union Local 226 photographs that document Culinary Union social events from 1989 to 2005. These events include various holiday parties, travel and tourist photographs from different events, baseball games the Culinary Union attended, and various banquets. Materials contain photographic prints, photographic negatives, and a small number of slides.

Materials document Las Vegas Culinary Workers Union strikes, pickets, marches, parades, rallies, and protests other than the Frontier Strike. This includes the Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Company (REECo) Strike, Binion’s Horseshoe Casino Strike, the Solidarity March in Washington D.C., and the march to Los Angeles, California in support of Senate Bill 55.
