The Publication and Correspondence Series dates from 1945 to 2007 and includes printed materials, such as books, government reports, pamphlets, and news articles that Broudy used in her research. Articles include photocopies of book chapters. Many of the news clippings and articles were sent to Broudy by other interested parties.
Archival Component
The Radiation Research Files series contain records from 1946 to 2008 from the National Association of Radiation Survivors (NARS), National Association of Atomic Veterans (NAAV), and reports on the depletion of uranium through atomic testing. Materials also include committee reports and correspondence, primarily to and from the Veteran’s Administration (VA), health risk assessments, and articles focusing on radiation fallout.

The Legal Files series (1946-2002) comprises an accumulation of documentation about the legal actions taken by Alice P. Broudy against the Federal Government and the Veteran’s Administration for the death from cancer of her husband, Major Charles A. Broudy, from alleged ionized radiation poisoning. Included in this material are other legal cases and hearings brought by other widows of U.S. servicemen who were also exposed to radiation and subsequently died, cases in which Alice P. Broudy served as an expert witness.

The Audiovisual and Photographic Material series, (1946-1999 and undated) consists of DVDs, VHSs, and reels relating to the atomic era, including radio and television programs and commentary.

The service records of Charles A. Broudy series (1940-1985) covers his entire military career and include commendations, continued education, and fitness records. Broudy served in WWII in the Pacific theater and the Korean war. After returning stateside he was assigned to the Nevada Test Site in Mercury, Nevada.
