Oral history interview with Carrie Townley Porter conducted by Claytee D. White on February 07, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Townley discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962, working as a substitute teacher and finishing her degree at Nevada Southern University (now the University of Nevada Las Vegas- UNLV). She also talks about teaching math at Gibson Junior High, working at UNLV as an archivist, a records analyst, and records administrator for different businesses.

Oral history interview with Clara L. Porter conducted by Mary Katuin on April 24, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Porter discusses her childhood in Las Vegas, Nevada and her time in the Las Vegas school system. Porter discusses her experience running for the Henderson, Nevada city council and expresses her opinion about the political system in Nevada and that voters should have more awareness of the candidates for whom they choose to vote. Porter also describes entertainment in Las Vegas, how Las Vegas has changed since the 1950s, and more of her personal history.

Oral history interview with Arlene and Nephi Potter conducted by Shirley A. Myers on July 07, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Arlene discusses her personal history, education, and church activities. Nephi then discusses his employment at the Basic Magnesium Plant and the two recall atomic bomb explosions at the Nevada Test Site. Later, Nephi and Arlene discuss Carole Lombard’s plane crash and the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Lastly, the two recall their experiences living in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the interview, Powell discusses her family's history in Las Vegas, Nevada. Powell discusses her education and experiences attending Las Vegas High School, her family travels, and her life in general in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Ann L. Stewart conducted by Mari C. Snyder on February 24, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Stewart discusses her personal history and Las Vegas, Nevada history. She describes working at the Nevada Test Site, observing nuclear weapons tests, and working on the Kelso-Turner housing project. Stewart discusses her non-fiction writing and the subjects of her writing, as well as being published by local newspapers. She describes the history of higher education in Las Vegas and the struggles senior citizens face as they get older. Stewart also talks about her Methodist faith, historic structures in Las Vegas, racial segregation in the city, and the criminal activity of juveniles.

Oral history interview with Leslie Earl Stewart Sr. conducted by Vicki J. Stewart on February 06, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Stewart discusses his personal history and life in Las Vegas, Nevada during the early twentieth century. Stewart talks about local politicians, organizations he is involved with, and his recreational activities. He describes how Las Vegas has changed, how Southern Nevada has improved economically, and the history of railroads in Nevada. He also discusses his parents' land, Stewart Ranch, as well as the Native Americans who worked on the ranch.
