Series I. Teaching is comprised of textbook manuscripts, national park research notes, class notes, students' master's theses, a class textbook, and students' doctoral dissertations.
Series II. Research and Scholarship is comprised of handwritten research notes, book research, oral history interviews, legal cases, Department of the Interior memoranda, and newspaper articles.
Series III. Service is comprised of Clark County Community Growth Task Force report drafts and final report, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) memoranda, NCAA violations, Urban Land Institute reports, and legal cases.
Series IV. Personal papers is comprised of awards and accolades, personal notes, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Parks Service (NPS) booklets, environmental VHS tapes, personal magazines, Jewish history lectures, and music and lecture audio cassettes. Also included are scholarly journals as well as programs for conferences and symposiums on environmental and Western U.S. history.
