The California restaurant series (1891-2010) includes menus and dining materials from restaurants, hotels, and venues throughout California. Materials document a variety of cuisines throughout the state, and include menus, wine lists, mailers, and press releases. This series also contains menus from theme parks in Southern California including Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm.

The United States restaurants series contains menus and dining-related materials from 1852 to 2010. Menus represent a wide variety of restaurants, including those individually owned and operated, fine dining, hotels and banquets, and commonly known chain restaurants. Menus that date before 1930 are individually listed; all other menus are grouped alphabetically by restaurant name.

The Excursions series (1880-2010) consists of cruise, airline, and train menus. Items include menus from intercontinental cruise liners as well as daily cruise ship menus and programs from 1899 to 2010, airline in-flight meal service menus from 1905 to 2011, and train menus from 1880 to 2010. The majority of this series dates from 1960 to 1990.

The Restaurants with unidentified locations and dining ephemera series (1931-2010) contains menus from restaurants whose location could not be found at the time of processing and those without an identifiable restaurant name. Dining ephemera consists of materials related to restaurants and dining, including guides, placemats, napkins, business cards, and press releases.
