The government records series, from 1944 to 2004, include atomic testing schedules, detonation reports and ship's log books for Bikini Islands and Marshall Islands and detailed material on the Nevada Test Site (NTS) operations. The NTS information includes underground nuclear test census information from Reynolds Electric and Engineering Company (REECo), the main government contractor for the site. The NTS and general reports are comprised of fallout reactions to the environment and in ground personnel, contamination estimates, analysis of information, and legislative actions.
The Publication and Correspondence Series dates from 1945 to 2007 and includes printed materials, such as books, government reports, pamphlets, and news articles that Broudy used in her research. Articles include photocopies of book chapters. Many of the news clippings and articles were sent to Broudy by other interested parties.
The Radiation Research Files series contain records from 1946 to 2008 from the National Association of Radiation Survivors (NARS), National Association of Atomic Veterans (NAAV), and reports on the depletion of uranium through atomic testing. Materials also include committee reports and correspondence, primarily to and from the Veteran’s Administration (VA), health risk assessments, and articles focusing on radiation fallout.
