The James D. O'Brien Photographs (approximately 1900-1929) are comprised of photograph albums and scrapbooks created by James D. O'Brien, surveyor, mining engineer and prospector. O'Brien's photographs feature locations throughout Central and Southern Nevada and Death Valley, California. Photographs depict life and work in mining camps; miners and their families; local Shoshone Indians; mining company financiers; landscape and mining towns. Locations include but are not limited to Pahrump, Nevada; Pioneer, Nevada; Rhyolite, Nevada; Wahmonie, Nevada; and Death Valley, California.
The Eberhardt and Aurora Mining Company Records (approximately 1869-1877) are comprised of the administrative records and financial documents of the mining company located in White Pine County, Nevada. The majority of the collection contains correspondence, but also includes several documents relating to the company's finances such as bills, receipts, cancelled checks, and bank statements.
Oral history interview with Robert Anaya conducted by Beatriz Romero on May 02, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Anaya reflects upon his 30-year career as a teacher and administrator in Texas, prior to working for Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) in the 1990s. He discusses his upbringing and training that led to his becoming a teacher and eventually an administrator, and describes his philosophy of education. He discusses his relationships with school superintendents and the Board of Education as a principal, and his decision to retire and move to Las Vegas, Nevada to work with CCSD.

He discusses how he was hired to teach at Washington State University in 1966, and later the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1984. Oral history interview with Marge Appuglise conducted by Derrick Yeoman on November 27, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Appuglise reflects upon her initial pursuit of school administration, and issues within the educational system that motivated her to pursue principalship. She describes her approach to educational leadership, and how her life experiences influenced that approach. She discusses parental involvement with schools, and the importance of administrators maintaining relationships with parents. She also describes her approach to creating a safe learning environment, and her role as an administrator in fostering that environment.

In this interview, Hutton reflects upon his career in education in both Iowa and Nevada. He describes his upbringing, colleges that he attended for teaching programs, and how he first started teaching. He then discusses the process by which he became a school administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) in the late 1980s, his approach to leadership, and his regular duties and responsibilities as principal. He also discusses retirement, and the factors that led to his decision to retire in the 2000s.

In this interview, Jauregui reflects upon his 30-year career as a teacher and administrator with the Clark County School District (CCSD). He describes challenges that he faced such as student diversity, and describes his regular responsibilities as principal. He discusses his time as principal at Rancho High School in the 1990s, and challenges that he faced with school safety, curriculum development, and the implementation of technology into the classroom.
Oral history interview with Ashley Nitz conducted by Claytee D. White on February 6, 2018 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Ashley Nitz discusses her experiences attending the 2017 Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada with a friend. She talks about making the weekend of the event a "staycation", where she stayed with her friend at the Trump Hotel. Nitz goes into detail on the Route 91 Harvest festival venue and the events of that Sunday night when the shooting began. She speaks of the lockdown in the Tropicana Hotel and the support given there to all of the survivors, such as water and medical aid, as well as her journey home once the lockdown was lifted. Oral history interviews with John Fudenberg conducted by Barbara Tabach and Claytee D. White on May 3, 2018 and May 23, 2018 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, John Fudenberg, the coroner for Clark County in Las Vegas, Nevada, gives an account of his experience during the October 1, 2017 mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip and what his role was during the tumultuous days after the shooting. He explains how he and the staff of the coroner's office prepared for the large number of casualties as well as their arrival at the Route 91 Harvest festival venue. Fudenberg speaks of setting up the Family Assistance Center at the convention center and how it supported the community but also aided the coroner's office in gathering information about the deceased and identifying them. Fudenberg discusses the main job of the Coroner's Office during the first week after the shooting, which was to autopsy the bodies and communicate with the families, as well as the Police Department. He also talks about the emotional impact the shooting and its aftermath had on him and his staff members and the wellness program they implemented, of which trauma yoga and meditation had a large impact.
