The Verna Mortensen Photograph Collection (approximately 1960-1679) is comprised of eight photographic prints that depict Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada and ferries on the Colorado River in Nevada.
The Junior League of Las Vegas Photograph Collection contains photographic prints and negatives, as well as postcards of locations in and around Las Vegas, Nevada between approximately 1900 and 1980. Early photographs in the collection offer views of the Las Vegas townsite, buildings, railroads, the Las Vegas High School, Overland Hotel, Arizona Club, and residential areas. Other photographs during this time depict the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) construction and Death Valley, California. Later photographs show the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) campus, downtown Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Strip.
The Anna Dean Kepper Postcard Collection (approximately 1930-1977) contains postcards and photographic negatives depicting Southern Nevada and California. The images portray Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley, California, street scenes from Southern Nevada mining towns, and Nevada deserts and flora.
The Paul J. Richert Photograph Collection (approximately 1950-1951) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives depicting the swimming pools at the Desert Inn and Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also included is an image of the Las Vegas High School Rhythmettes dance group and an image of the El Rancho Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The Nadine Tobin Collection of Helldorado Photographs, approximately 1940 to 1959, contains black-and-white photographic prints depicting parade floats during Helldorado Days celebrations in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also included is one image of a primary school class in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas High School Class of 1929 Photograph Collection (1929 and 1979) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives. The images include members of the class of 1929 from Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, primarily from the Spanish club, library club, the science club, and a boys basketball team. An additional image depicts
a class reunion on May 4, 1979 at the Showboat Hotel and Casino.
The Pat Jones Photograph Collection (approximately 1925-1930) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and slides of Harry Suiter in Rhyolite, Nevada. There are images of Suiter standing in front of abandoned buildings, as well as scenery near Rhyolite. Also included is an image of a wagon transport containing borax in Death Valley, California.
The Marguerite and Jack Wagner Photograph Collection, approximately 1949 to 1970, consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives depicting the Wagner Motor Company automobile dealership in Las Vegas, Nevada. Included are images of Wagner posing with customers in front of automobiles.
The First Methodist Church Photograph Collection (approximately 1909-1912) contains black-and-white photographic prints and corresponding negatives of the Las Vegas train depot, railroad yards, and the First Methodist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also included are portraits of Reverend Edwin A. Palmer and his family.
The Dolores Brownhofer Neonis Photograph Collection (approximately 1940-1970) contains photographic prints, negatives, and a slide depicting the Brownhofer family at restaurants, bars, and casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada.
