Oral history interview with Kay Dwyer conducted by Claytee D. White on August 16, 2000 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Dwyer discusses moving to Henderson, Nevada in 1942 when her father was hired by Basic Magnesium, Incorporated. She also discusses attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, formerly named Nevada Southern University, and having a career as a high school teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with L. J. Bowman conducted by Lidia Sedano on October 11, 2004 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Bowman discusses his upbringing and path to becoming a teacher during the 1970s. He discusses his experience as a teacher in Wisconsin and in Montana, but highlights his 17 years as principal in various Montana school districts prior to becoming a teacher in the Clark County School District in the 1990s. He discusses his personal philosophy of education, and how it influenced his career as an administrator. He also discusses highlights and challenges of his career, and provides suggestions on what makes a successful principal.

Oral history interview with Maurice Flores conducted by Andre Yates on April 1, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Flores reflects upon his 29-year career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1970s to the 2000s. He discusses his experience working in special education and magnet programs, his approach to education, and the process by which he became a principal. He also offers suggestions for effective school administration.

Oral history interview with Shirley Barber conducted by Rajul Edmond on April 11, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Barber reflects upon her nearly 30-year career as a teacher and administrator with the Clark County School District from the 1980s to the 2000s. Barber describes the process by which she became an elementary and middle school principal, and her approach to being a leader within the school and as a member of the School Board. Oral history interview with Norman Christiansen conducted by James Courtney on November 28, 1986 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Christiansen describes his family, and background before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956 from Montana. Christiansen then talks about working at the Nevada Test Site and about his career as a teacher. He speaks about the various changes he has noticed over the years in Las Vegas, including those in climate, pollution, economy, occupation, and standard of living.
