Wilbur Clark, owner of Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn in Las Vegas, Nevada, stands in front of a parade float titled "The Old Master Painter." The float was designed by Bill Willard for the Desert Inn. The costumed women standing on the float were Donn Arden dancers who had opened at the Desert Inn the month before. The float won 3rd prize in the Helldorado Parade.

The women were Donn Arden dancers who had opened at the Desert Inn the month before. The float won 3rd prize in the Helldorado Parade .

Description

L-R:Toni Clark (dark hair, wearing necklace; partially obscured), Desert Inn owner Wilbur Clark, Grace Bradley Boyd and actor William Boyd at Don the Beachcomber's at Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. They are dressed in Hawaiian themed clothing and wearing leis. Other people are unidentified. William Boyd was best known for his portrayal of the character Hopalong Cassidy in western films of the 1930s-1940s. Grace Bradley Boyd was Boyd's wife from 1937 until his death.
