Description
An image showing an overhead view of visitors standing at Lakeview Point at Lake Mead. This is the original home to the Dr. Elwood Mead dedication plaque. Since he was the commissioner for the Bureau of Reclamation at the time the lake was created, Dr. Mead was the inspiration behind Lake Mead's official name.
