The Mike O'Callaghan Professional Papers (1943, 1968-2004) mainly consist of research files gathered by Mike O'Callaghan in his post-political capacity as executive editor of the Las Vegas Sun as well as owner and publisher of the Henderson Home News, Boulder City News, and Green Valley News. The papers also contain handwritten and typewritten drafts of O'Callaghan's "Where I Stand" article for the Las Vegas Sun, along with his reporter's notebooks, monthly planners, and photographic prints. The research files cover a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to environmental issues; nuclear waste; state and local politics; military and veterans affairs; foreign relations including Israel, Iraq, and Korea; and education. The collection also contains copies of speeches given by O'Callaghan as the 23rd Governor of Nevada between 1971 and 1979, some of which contain handwritten notations.

The Las Vegas, Nevada Anti-Gay Counter-Protest Collection (2001) documents the counter-protests against supporters of Reverend Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church at their anti-homosexual demonstrations. The counter-protests were held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus and the Liberace Museum on March 10, 2001. Materials in this collection included a typed excerpt from the journal of Dennis McBride recounting his experiences on the day of the protest. The Roosevelt Fitzgerald Professional Papers (1890-1996) contain the papers and writings of Roosevelt Fitzgerald, a former University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) anthropology professor and Director of the Ethnic Studies department. Materials include Fitzgerald's educational records, professional correspondence, and documents from his time at UNLV. The collection also contains drafts of his articles on Black history in Nevada and discrimination, newspaper clippings and copies of the Las Vegas Sentinel Voice in which his articles appeared, photographs, and prepared speeches.

The collection is comprised of the records (1994-2012) for the Brandeis National Committee-Las Vegas Chapter. The collection is primarily comprised of publicity and marketing for events organized by the group, chapter newsletters, membership information, and study guides. Also included are the Brandeis National Committee-Las Vegas Chapter's policies handbook, bylaws, and certificates of commendation and proclamations.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Collection (1951-1977) contains publicity books, scrapbooks, community service records, newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, and newsletters pertaining primarily to the Fred S. Pennington post no. 1753 Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Las Vegas, Nevada and the associated local chapter of the American War Mothers organization. The Ladies Auxiliary and the American War Mothers are non-profit organizations that assist in providing support and services to veterans and active service members. This material was formerly known as the Luanna Mitchell Collection.

Cities represented in the collection include Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Pahrump. The collection also includes websites for regional agencies and authorities such as the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The Gerald Schaffer Professional Papers (approximately 1949-1999) contain materials from Schaffer's time working as a political executive assistant, private sector consultant, and developer of commercial, residential, and gaming projects throughout Clark County, Nevada. The collection includes newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, and administrative files from Schaffer's time working as an executive assistant for Nevada Congressman Walter S. Baring Jr. Schaffer's work with organizations is represented through programs, photographs, and correspondence. Documents relating to his work as Commissioner of Public Housing on the Clark County Public Housing Authority, service as Clark County Planning Commissioner, and as a commercial and residential developer in Las Vegas are also present in the collection.
