Ratner talks about mixed martial arts (MMA) fighting, and joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) organization after a long career with the professional boxing commission.
Oral history interview with Randy Lavigne conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 23, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Lavigne discusses working as the Executive Director of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Las Vegas since 1997. She also talks about the Fifth Street School’s plans to celebrate the AIA Chapter's sixtieth anniversary; the now defunct auxiliary organization, the Architects' Wives League, and various topics having to do with architecture as a profession and architectural firms.
Oral history interview with Mark Hall-Patton conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 25, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Hall-Patton discusses coming to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993, creating the Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum, and becoming a director for Clark County Museums in 2008, just when the economic downturn caused large layoffs and a drop in visitor numbers. He also talks about how joining the television show Pawn Stars in 2009 significantly raised visitor numbers and increased visibility of museums all over the Las Vegas Valley.
Oral history interview with Jay Poster conducted by Barbara Tabach on August 26, 2016 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Poster describes his growth through his career in funeral services and his respect for the Jewish traditions of burial and grieving. He also talks about his participation in the ShabbaTones Band at Congregation Ner Tamid, and Desert Winds, a community based performance organization.
Oral history interview with Jonathan Sparer conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 29, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Sparer discusses his involvement in the Jewish, and LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) communites, and his career as an architect in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about working on projects that included The Mirage Hotel and Casino, the Congregation Ner Tamid, and The Center (The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada).
Oral history interview with Jacob Snow conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee White on August 29, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Snow discusses the ways that infrastructure accommodated Southern Nevada's growth. He discusses McCarran's Terminal Three, the Las Vegas Monorail, University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV) football stadium, the Bruce Woodbury Beltway, and the Fremont Street Experience. Snow discusses his career as general manager of the Regional Transportation Commission, where he worked with Clark County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury, and his three years as city manager for the City of Henderson.
Oral history interview with Elizabeth N. “Betsy” Fretwell conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 30, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Fretwell discusses her Clark County internship in 1991, and lobbying for the County's interest. She also discusses the pros and cons of City-County consolidation, Oscar Goodman and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Medical School, and the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. She lastly discusses Downtown Las Vegas regeneration, restaurants, the Fremont Street Experience, and new residential units to increase downtown population.

He discusses investing over twenty years in leadership for the Jewish Federation and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in states that include New Jersey, Delaware, Texas, Ohio, and Nevada.
Oral history interview with Jack W. Zunino conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 20, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Zunino tells of his employment with G.C. Wallace Engineering and JMA architects before founding his own landscape architecture firm in 1989. Additionally, Zunino discusses the evolution of landscape architecture in casino design.
Roger Thomas oral history interview conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee White on August 31, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Thomas is the Executive Vice President of Design at Wynn Design and Development. He discusses joining Wynn's design team in 1980 for The Mirage. Thomas has done interiors for all Wynn projects since, including these in Las Vegas, Nevada: Treasure Island, Bellagio, Wynn Las Vegas, and Encore Las Vegas.
