Mary Ann Michel (nee Kedzuf) was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received all of her degrees, leading up to her doctorate, in nursing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Michel was an emergency room nurse at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and the chair of the department of nursing at UNLV.

Simon, Margaret
Margaret Simon relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to be with her husband, who moved here first for work related purposes. Upon obtaining her Master’s in Nursing Education from the University of Pittsburgh, Simon started working at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, moving on to work at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital. She received a job offer and began working at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1966. She also served on the State Board of Nursing in Nevada.

Dazzio, Russell
Dazzio was born in Pueblo, Colorado and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the early 1950s. He became one of the first students at the Hotel College at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)-- then Nevada Southern-- in 1968 after he graduated from Western High School. He worked with Stardust Hotel and Casino executives while in his early 20s. Dazzio was a hotel operator for ITT Sheraton and was the founding partner for R&R Global Hospitality, a third-party management firm.
