Maynard, George Robert, Sr.

Geroge Robert Maynard Sr. was born on January 25, 1935, in Bellwood, West Virginia. George married Theresa on September 7, 1957, and they had three children: George R. Maynard Jr.; John Thomas Maynard; and Timothy Alan Maynard.

Maynard took two years of welding technology courses and two years of aircraft maintenance technology courses in college.

Maynard was enlisted in the United States Army from 1953 to 1957. Maynard was also enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1974.

Theresa Dorothy Maynard (née Healy) was born on March 13, 1937, in New York City, New York. Theresa married George on September 7, 1957, and they had three children: George R. Maynard Jr.; John Thomas Maynard; and Timothy Alan Maynard.

Maynard was employed at the FSi Security Badge Office for the Jim Reno Security Office. Maynard had previously worked as a bank teller and worked in the Roper Hospital pharmacy for 28 years.

McBride, Dennis

Dennis McBride grew up in Boulder City, Nevada, and received both his BA and MA from UNLV. He is well-known as an expert in the history of Hoover Dam and has done several histories of Boulder City. He has chronicled and collected the history of the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas since the late 1970s, and his work culminated in the manuscript "Life in the Neon Closet: A History of Gay Las Vegas" published in 2017.

McCarran, Pat, 1876-1954

Patrick “Pat” Anthony McCarran (1876-1954) was a United States senator who was significant in Nevada’s politics for more than fifty years. He was a supporter of the aviation industry as well, lobbying for the construction of the Nellis Air Force Base. McCarran was one of the few Democrats who opposed President Franklin D. Roosevelt and was also known to be a passionate anti-Communist.

McCracken, Richard G.

Richard McCracken was born August 21, 1949 and was raised in San Jose, California in a family of farmers. He went to college at the University of California, Los Angeles, but graduated from Berkeley University in 1974. During this time, he married his wife, Marjorie, on July 7, 1972. McCracken moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1974 and started his career as a lawyer.
